Postmodern Linguist for WordPress

Postmodern Linguist

I designed and built Postmodern Linguist for my academic site, A Not-So-Commonplace Book.

The site is a pretty straightforward aggregate of things media-related that I find around the internet, in books, photos taken… etc. I was looking for a typography-centric design. For the past couple of years I’ve been in love with the font OFL Sorts Mill Goudy and since its being included in Google Webfonts, I’ve been utilising the Google CDN to load it on the site.

Overall, the template is super minimal, with a left-side “Explore” panel that slides the entire site to the right. It’s pretty slick (but only works properly in Firefox).
